StelsMDB is a MDB JDBC type 4 driver that allows to perform SQL queries and other JDBC operations on Microsoft Access database files (MS Access 2000 - 2010 versions). The driver is completely platform-independent and does not require installing additional client or server software to provide access to MDB files. It can be effectively used to create, process and export Microsoft Access databases in your Java applications.

• It is platform independent

There are two versions of the driver – 1.4 and 2.1. These versions use different SQL engines and have slightly different feature sets.

Which version should you go for? If you need to use UPDATE and DELETE queries often, choose version 1.4. In all other cases, we recommend using version 2.1 that has richer functionality and provides more complete SQL syntax support compared with version 1.4.
